Age UK Charity Shop in Woolwich Seeks Donations

The Age UK charity shop in Woolwich is requesting unwanted Christmas gifts and other donations to assist lonely older people this winter.

The shop has started an urgent stock appeal called The Great Big Winter Bag Drop. They welcome clothing, toys, books, games, and household items.

Services Offered by Age UK

Age UK provides essential services for those who have no one else to turn to. These services include their Telephone Friendship service and an advice line.

Each bag of donations typically raises around £15. This amount is enough to fund a weekly telephone friendship call.

Their services are especially important during winter when older people may feel more lonely and isolated.
