Agency Response
A missing persons alert was issued for Wayne and Oisin O’Reilly last year, but they were later located. The Child and Family Agency Tusla stated that Oisin was not in State care, but the family was known to them.
Tusla said, “The death of a child is a tragedy, and our thoughts are with the family, all those who knew him, and the local community at this difficult time.”
Gardaí have preserved both locations for forensic examinations. The coroner was notified, and the Office of the State Pathologist was requested for assistance. A Garda spokesperson said the results of post-mortem examinations will guide the investigation.
