A frightened kitten was found on a ScotRail train from Helensburgh Central to Edinburgh Waverley and is now in the care of Cats Protection in Glasgow
Kitten Found on ScotRail Train
ScotRail staff were surprised to find an extra item of baggage on one of their services when a kitten was discovered on a train.
The “frightened” kitten, with grey stripes and white socks, was found by staff on Thursday morning’s 8.25 am service from Helensburgh Central to Edinburgh Waverley.
It is believed that the female cat may have been left behind by accident.
She is now in the care of Cats Protection in Glasgow, who are asking her owner to get in touch.
The kitten is about six months old and is not microchipped.
Staff report that she is a “little scared” but safe in their care.
The charity stated, “Understandably, she is a little scared at the moment, but she is safely in our care and will be looked after and given time to decompress.”
They added, “She’s already made grown men cry at the railway station; she’s a very pretty little girl.”
The owner is encouraged to contact the Glasgow branch to discuss the situation and provide proof of ownership.
The kitten will stay with the charity until the owner comes forward or until she undergoes veterinary checks and is ready for adoption.
