Northumberland County Council Announces Road Closure
Northumberland County Council will close the U8076 Foggat Farm Junction to Newbiggin Junction. This closure will occur 130 metres east of its junction with C282 Whitby Chapel to Dipton Mill. The closure will extend eastward for 75 metres.
The order will be effective from January 26 until February 13. However, the closure is expected to last from January 28 to 30 during this period.
An alternative route will be available via U8076, C282, U8074, C278, and vice-versa.
According to the notice, changes may be made to alternative routes if needed. These changes will be signposted where possible.
The closure has been requested by R J Utility Services for duct work. Other contractors may also undertake works during this order to minimize future disruption.
