Police Urge Sexual Abuse Victims to Report Crimes
Police have encouraged sexual abuse victims to come forward after a rapist of two teenage girls was jailed.
Details of the Case
Alexander Boyd (56), from Inverness, was supposedly looking after the young victims at a children’s home in Argyll and Bute.
He was found guilty of four sex charges that occurred between 1998 and 2001.
Sentencing and Official Statements
Following today’s sentencing, Detective Inspector Peter MacMillan stated, “Boyd is a depraved individual who exploited his position of trust to cause immeasurable harm to the children in his care. Such behaviour is abhorrent in every sense, and he will now face the consequences of his despicable actions.”
