Johnstown Post Office will temporarily close later this month before reopening at a new location in the village, offering extended hours and improved convenience for customers.
Johnstown Post Office to Temporarily Close for Relocation
The Johnstown Post Office will close temporarily later this month as it relocates to a new site.
The branch will reopen at the Premier Express, Johnstown Village Convenience Store, on Thursday, 5 February. The existing postmaster will continue to operate the branch.
Post Office services will remain available at the current site until 5:30 PM on Tuesday, 27 January.
The new location is being refitted to accommodate both the Post Office and a convenience store.
There will be two serving positions: one open-plan counter and a Post Office serving point at the retail counter.
Once completed, the open-plan counter will operate similar hours to the current branch:

The Post Office counter at the retail till will have extended hours:

This change will provide an extra 20 hours and 30 minutes of Post Office service each week. The earlier opening and later closing will make it more convenient for customers.
