RSPCA Wiltshire Mid branch seeks a foster home for Esme, a deaf and visually impaired elderly cat needing indoor care in Wiltshire
Esme the Cat Needs a Foster Home
Esme is a gentle and affectionate cat currently in the care of the RSPCA Wiltshire Mid branch.
She is deaf and has very poor vision in her remaining eye. Esme requires a patient foster home where she can relax in comfort and safety, preferably for the rest of her life.
About Esme
RSPCA Wiltshire Mid branch described Esme as a “beautiful older lady.” They said, “Esme is the most beautiful older lady.”
They added, “She needs to be approached gently as she is deaf and has very poor vision in her remaining eye.”
Once she spots you, she goes into full-on purr mode and loves attention. She enjoys snuggling for sleep on her favorite blanket and eats well.
Esme does not seem keen on other cats or dogs but gives all her love to people. She enjoys a little brushing but prefers not to be picked up much.
The post continued, “She deserves all the cuddles and love in her twilight years.”
Indoor Care Needed
As Esme cannot safely go outdoors, she will need to be cared for inside the home. A spokesperson said, “Esme would love a warm house with a snuggly, safe corner she can sleep soundly in.”
Due to her sight loss and hearing, she needs a secure indoor environment to keep her safe. “We adore her,” the spokesperson added.
Support from RSPCA Wiltshire Mid
The branch has committed to funding Esme’s ongoing care. Members of the public can message the branch if they can provide a home for her.
The RSPCA Wiltshire Mid branch is run by volunteers and is entirely self-funded, relying on donations and fundraising. All money raised goes towards the welfare of animals in its care.
Services Offered
The branch offers rehoming and emergency veterinary or financial assistance to animals in need. They also promote responsible pet ownership and increase awareness of animal welfare through education, advice, and financial support.
Those interested in providing a “twilight foster home” for Esme are encouraged to contact the RSPCA Wiltshire Mid branch directly.
