CODYS Productions in Warrington plans a special event in 2026 to celebrate 30 years of performances and community impact.
CODYS Productions is a musical theatre company for young people aged 10-18. It was formed in 1996 and is a charity that relies on volunteers. The group has performed many shows over the years, including Joseph, Phantom, Les Mis, Miss Saigon, Cats, and Footloose.
The company aims to nurture young talent and prepare its members for future careers in the performing arts. Many former members have gone on to work in the industry. Current members gain teamwork skills and self-confidence through their involvement.
The latest show, The Spongebob Musical, was performed in September 2025. This production has received nine nominations for National Operatic and Dramatic Association awards, including Best Youth Musical and Best Leading Actor.
CODYS Productions is looking forward to the awards night at the end of the month. For the upcoming anniversary, the company will host a special event called “Musicality 30.” This show will feature songs from the past 30 years, performed by current members.
The event will take place at St John’s United Reformed Church on Wilderspool Causeway from February 5 to 7.
