Wick Players Distributes Funds to Local Charities

A total of £2,550 has been divided among three good causes following Wick Players’ recent pantomime, Robinson Crusoe and the Pirates.

Over the past few years, the community drama club has donated funds to local charities from the raffle held at its pantomime performances.

This time, the beneficiaries were Caithness Youth Pipe Band, Bower Community Centre, and Caithness Rural Transport, which is run by Wick-based Caithness Voluntary Group. Each charity received £850.

The cheques were presented by Wick Players’ chairperson Jenny Szyfelbain, secretary Jayden Alexander, assistant secretary Kieran Mackay, and board member Margaret Thomson.

Robinson Crusoe and the Pirates, a swashbuckling adventure for all the family, had a four-day run at the Assembly Rooms in December.

Caithness Youth Pipe Band £850
