Warrington Borough Council Announces Road Closures

Warrington Borough Council has announced plans to temporarily close parts of the A49 Wilderspool Causeway and the A5060 Chester Road roundabout junction at Brian Bevan Island.

The closure will also affect sections of Park Boulevard, River Road, Chester Road, and Dunlop Street. It is scheduled to begin on Monday, January 12, and will last for six weeks.

The roads will be closed from 7 PM to 1 AM, with access managed by the contractor.

The council stated that the closure is necessary for carriageway resurfacing.

A spokesperson for Warrington Borough Council said: “Notice is hereby given that, in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, the Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.”
